Tylan Powder

Hi all. I finally ordered the Tylan Powder (from Amazon) for Sadie, for dealing with her on again, off again poop issues. I got Elanco Tylan Soluable – Equivalent to 100 g (3.53 oz) typos in base, an antibiotic. I have some questions.

Upon reading the back, it states, used for chickens, swine, turkeys and even honey bees only. Yikes! Nothing is mentioned about administering to dogs. HOW MUCH AND HOW OFTEN DO I GIVE? DID I GET THE RIGHT THING?

I know some of you have used it (if this is indeed the right product) and had good results, but I thought this might be a good opportunity to let me AND all here know when to use, how much to use, how often (daily) and how long (duration of use over period of time/days/weeks).

Holding off until I have a good feel for it’s use for Sadie. Love and huge hugs,

Sheena didn’t warn you of the side effects – male dogs start crowing at dawn, they all scratch in the dirt and there may be some buzzing, cackling or gobbling sounds heard :)

Actually, Lynn, Tylan is NOT recommended for dogs that are using heart medication, such as choramphenicol or lincosamides. So do check that out.

Thanks all and Vally, you are s bit too serious – you really need to lighten up?!? Goodness my dear friend, you could do stand-up comedy – I’m with Sherna in laughing out loud!

Thank you Sherna for the information. I still haven’t started it, but will, most likely, tomorrow. Will keep you posted.
