A friend and I are doing a night hike (30km, through the Forest of Dean) to raise money for a wonderful charity, called Soi Dog. They rescue and rehome street dogs in Thailand, save dogs from the dog meat trade and campaign against it. We are doing this at Halloween (scary!); it’s a long way, so we hope that our friends will support us and donate to this wonderful cause. Here is the link to our fund raising page:

I know that most people coming to this website have a great deal of sorrow and worry on their minds about their own precious dogs, but please consider making a donation!

As for me, I’m doing it for these sad dogs, to give them a better life…… and in memory of the wonderful Honey and Meg, who at least had a chance at a forever home.

Hi Lynda and Jen. How wonderful for you two to do this. I watched the video. Gill is an inspiration (and the gentleman and ALL the others that have volunteered their time, expertise and money).

Tailand holds a special place in my heart. I know the living conditions for animals are deplorable. Knowing that this situation is being helped in this way is heart warming, to say the least. What devoted and unselfish, wonderful people that are helping, hands on. I love the ‘before’ and ‘after’ picture of that precious pup. I donated – wish it could have been much more.
