Oh no, I’m so sad to see this terrible news. This is a real tragedy. He was only a baby, bless him. My heart goes out to his owners.

Oh my gosh. How did you find out about him?  This is so sad and hits close to home, he’s a cocker right?

He is so precious – so tiny.  I do hope the owner will contact us again and ‘talk’ when he/she is ready.  His story would most likely be a huge help – so fast, poor little guy.  I hate this stinking disease so much.

I just read an article about the Rabies shot.  I am so glad that I will NEVER give Sadie vaccines (particularly this one) of any sort ever again.  I really hope one day the laws will change and/or the cost for titer testing will be less expensive and promoted prior to the mandatory or even elective vaccinating.  I don’t know if this is what got Dexter, but between the vaccines and the flea/tick meds out there – it’s too much for most of our animals.

RIP Dexter.  And to the owners – I am so very, very sorry for the loss of your precious boy.  If you see our posts, please, when you are able, share your story in the chance that it may help others.
