Hi Megan
I’m so sorry there’s no improvement in PCV & Sophie not eating is very worrying for you – it must be awful for you both to have to do this baby food syringing. BUT … as Vally says, her PCV is stable & that is a bonus. On British TV the other night, I saw a standard poodle with AIHA had to have 9 transfusions before she stabilised. So, they are all different. Again, I would contact Dr Dodds & ask her opinion on trying something different, or is she happy to continue with the current treatment, even though Sophie’s not eating much. I know some people have tried appetite stimulants (by prescription from their vet of course), so it may be worth talking about that. Just remember Joe & Dunes – sometimes things are difficult, but can be overcome. I presume your vet is absolutely sure that Sophie’s tummy & intestines have been thoroughly investigated for problems? Megan, you are an absolute star Mum – you are doing all the right things – keep going my friend. let us know what Dr Dodds says if you can.
All our best wishes

Bless your heart Joe, you are such a kind & compassionate man. Great to hear Nauset is eating at last & crossing everything for the antibiotics to kill the heartworms off. You will always miss Dunes. I often cry when I look at photos of my dear little Millie, even though she died 10 years ago. Some of them are just very, very special.
Loads of love from all of us

Hi Megan
It’s nice to hear the vet your using has a good reputation with others vets – her bedside manner seems to be the problem. My specialist was a bit hot & cold when we contacted each other by e-mail & it makes you feel like a pest sometimes! When we sent to see him, he was normally quite supportive, but I could tell he got a bit fed up with all my questions. They are so busy & we are not the only people with sick dogs, I suppose. Hoping the new drug will help with her appetite – let us know how things are going. And remember – azathioprine worked for Worzel, but you need to watch out for pancreatitis. Thinking of you as always
Love

What a lovely boy! I admire everybody taking on a hound, they are not easy to train. That is possibly the reason why Arlo ended up in the shelter. LOTS of positive reinforcement and never a punishment when they come to you! LOTS of exercise for bot Arlo and Anne:) I know Anne will do well with Arlo, she has a good heart and he will be a happy boy!
Best wishes,
Brigitte
