- Worzel check-up
Yes, Sheena – how is Mr. Worzel doing? And Ollie still good after his shot? Thinking of you and your boys.
Still in hibernation mode with company. Back online Friday.
XOXO Linda and Sadie
Hi Vally
Hopalong is doing OK thanks, but started limping again a couple of days ago after running like an exocet missile. It was completely my fault as I opened the door without thinking & I could kick myself. We’re pretty sure he is an ex-racer, so he thinks he’s being released onto the track! He seems better now, though. I just have a feeling it won’t have healed properly, but it will match the bent (broken) one on his other back foot!
I’m sorry Bingo’s shoes are on back order still – in stock soon, so I’m told.
Love Sheena, speedy gonzales & lazy bones xxxx
Hi Linda
Just missed your post while I was typing – love to you & my darling girl – enjoy yourself with the family. Ollie is FINE too – he is such a sweet boy. Still needs to lose a bit of weight though – Phil says he looks like his head has shrunk!
Sheena, Hoppity & Little Head! xxxxx
Hi Sheena. Back together (although there are those that would argue that….).
When you figure out a ‘diet’ for Ollie, let me know PLEASE. Sadie is still not loosing weight. She is eating the same as she has all her (wonderful!) life. Hmmm…..
It’s been hot here already, so we’re not walking as much as I’d hoped we would now that she’s able to handle the walking. And on top of the hot weather, the mosquitos are already killer this year (we didn’t get enough cold weather), so combined, hot days and mosquitos at night – goodness, poor Blimpy is just not loosing much. Of course, she’s STILL ravenous!!!! She did run around the yard with her playmate (from two doors down), labrador Saber. That was nice to see. Then she panted for a half hour…..but fine and happy to have frolicked with her friend briefly.
How is Worzel’s foot? Is he still in his high-tops?
Love and hugs, Linda and Blimpy
Hi Linda
Dressing off Hoppity’s foot next week if our vet is happy, so hopefully no more plastic bag in the garden! I’ve Ollie’s main meal sizes down a bit as he loves his treats so much- we enjoy the fun of doing daft tricks for biscuits. He’s a lazy boy too! Worzel loves to run, but Ollie gives up & puffs & pants – no stamina, never has had any. I think because he was starved when he was a babe, (he was about 1 year old when we adopted him) he’s not had a healthy start in life, which can affect their development a bit. Long story, but he was in a dreadful mess & we are pleased he’s a happy lad now, even if he is a bit chubby.
I’m sure Sadie’s weight loss will improve with lowering the pred, Linda, so don’t worry too much – I can’t believe she’s that “Blimpy”! It sounds like she’s doing brilliantly – keep it going Sadie!
Love to you all, Sheena, Limpy Dan & Chubby xxxx
Chubby Ollie sounds so gorgeous, I just want to squeeeeeeeeeze him.
Sheena, fancy opening the door for Limpy Dan!!! Now come on. My clumsy dopey-drawers hurt one of his feet this morning NOT running like an exocet missile but doing a fairly slow inspection of the park. I’m not even sure which foot it is. But he can come after me for treats so it’s not too bad I’m sure.
Linda, absolutely about the pred I think. I’m now topping up Bingo’s foods as his weight has dropped.
Vally & Lean Dopey Drawers.
Thanks Sheena and Vally – I sure hope she can loose it all. I guess too, it took a while to gain, so it will take a while to loose.
I think, as you both say, I’ll cut down on her meals a bit. Other than her food twice a day, she gets a treat after breakfast and a treat after dinner. And she gets 1/2 of a Fruitables Apple and cranberry, which I can cut back too.
So glad to hear Worzel is healing. Hopefully he’ll be running around the garden soon. And Ollie, Sadie would laze right next to you!!
xo Linda and a lotta love, Sadie
Hi Sheena
So glad to hear that Worzel’s foot is ok and that he won’t have to have his bag for much longer, although we will miss it (Bingo especially). Really pleased Ollie is doing well as well. He’s clearly a boy after my own heart. Eating lots and a lack of stamina all sound familiar.
Vally – is Bingo’s foot ok now? All that cat poo hunting perhaps? Glad he gets to have more food – I’m sure he’s delighted!
Linda – I am sure Sadie is not blimpy! She looks beautiful in her pictures. It’s a tough call when they have been so thin with the illness and I know part of me just wants to give in to Mable’s food demands, even when she wasn’t ill! After going through all this, there’s something terribly reassuring about seeing them happily tuck in.
Love to all, Mary & Mable x
