Vet & 24 hr emergency referral

Hi, I am traveling with mags to florida in a few weeks & was wondering if anyone could refer a good vet and/or emergency vet that may have experience with aiha in the Lake County or Orlando area. Or if there is a resource where I could research this information. I want to have a plan in place just in case. Thank you in advance.

Hi Jen. I am in Tampa and there are several here. I have a friend that had a doing-well IMHA. Also, if driving and needed, I have a vet in Valdosta, GA (I-75 , close to FL line) and one in Gainesville, FL.

Absolutely! I have vets listed from Tampa, Florida to Atlana/Decatur, GA. AND ALSO, I have learned to travel with backup full minted meds (i.e., for Sadie – 20MG Prednusone, enough for duration of trip). My new logic is that if I take it, I certainly won’t need it. ;)

I even send it when I travel and leave Sadie behind…..just in case.

That’s a great idea! It seems that is the case, if you prepare for it you don’t need it but the second you don’t prepare is when you need it:)
