- Split: Split: For Hope and Steve
One more thing: today I have him about 15 drops of Milk Thistle tincture at noon in pumpkin. He’s never had any GI upset with that before though.
Hope, where are his meals in his schedule? That could help problem solve I would think.

Also, are you still forcing him to drink? Sorry, just thought of that after I hit submit!
Hey Tamara!
Steve eats a lot during the day — idk if that might be part of the problem. He’s always hungry so i give him snacks a lot.
Set meals are: 8am, 12:30pm, (snack) 4.30pm, 8pm, (snack) 11:30pm
When he’s looking absolutely pitiful with the sad eyes i will give him extra snacks, usually Sweet potato mash, cottage cheese (it’s good protein source for him since he can’t do meat), fruits (apples, seedless watermelon, strawberries) and veggies (carrots, broccoli, zucchini).
No forced drinking anymore — I only did it like 3x Thursday night – Friday morning bc he was not having it! Only like 1-2mL each time.
Hope
Sorry I don’t really know. I wonder if it is the aspirin. Bingo never needed aspirin. Probably a dumb question, but why is Steve taking aspirin and also getting the Lovenox injections? The Lovenox is a blood thinner right? They why also the aspirin? Just wondering if the aspirin can be stopped. As I said though I know nothing about these drugs.
Hope Steve’s tummy is feeling better. Perhaps smaller meals might help. That is always hard when they’re hungry though.

Hey Vally!
I’m starting to suspect the aspirin as well.. To be honest I don’t know emphatically why he’s on both. When he moved to the specialty clinic/internist’s care, he told me he wanted to put him on both. I asked why and if there was something in his blood work to imply he needed both and he said that’s just his personal protocol. He’s not super communicative so I don’t really know since I didn’t get to go to most of his appts last months and he refuses to call me (calls hubby instead lol). He did say that we could talk about discontinuing the Lovenox when we go back in for a visit (this Monday actually).
From reading I see that aspirin is an anti-platelet and Lovenox is an anti-coagulant. I know his platelet levels were super high when he was first diagnosed, like over 700K. Maybe that has something to do with it? I also think lovenox works against venous thrombi while aspirin is for arterial clots? Someone please correct me because this might be wrong!
About the big meals I did look back at my log — last night and earlier today I fed him small amounts and as we joked about i fed him with a spoon. He chewed more. Today I didn’t because I was trying to get to the vet.. And he guzzled the food down. Maybe that’s it too? Idek!
Thanks!
The Frazzled
The guzzling could be part of it. I think your small, frequent meals are great, and little snacks. Also, just thought of this — could you try giving him his meds in fruit leather? Just wrap them up in it? I’m trying to think of something that’s kind of like pill pockets. Hang tough friend! xoxox tamara and ashki
