Hi Susie & sweet Emily
I like Vally’s idea of every 3rd day – I think you’ll be able to stop it altogether after this next reduction as it is a tiny dose, but of course Emily is a tiny thing too! 48 is a brilliant PCV – well done, both of you. Most dogs can stop it altogether, but there are a few who have to stay on it – no big deal though. Watching her PCV after each reduction is the way to tell & I know you keep a very close eye on her.

Hello Everyone!
This week Emily’s PCV was up to 51!!! We’re still on the prednisone but down to every 4th day. Dr says once a week but I was hesitant to go to that small of a dose. What do you all think? (Still on 25 mg of cyclosporine)
Thank you in advance❤️
Hey Susie, this is just wonderful. Me, being me, would probably do every 5 days for 2 weeks, then ever 6 days for 2 weeks, then go to once a week. That’s ME !!! Super nervous paranoid me.
I think going from every 4 days to weekly is probably very safe, especially with the cyclosporine in place.
What about go to every 6 days as a compromise ??? For a few weeks and then go weekly.
Love Vally & BIngo.
Hiya Susie!
Brilliant to hear from you AND with such great news. 51 – wow! Well done Emily & well done you for taking it slowly & carefully.
I like Vally’s idea too – very cautious, just like it should be.
Love & hugs as always
