- Sassy – New thread
Congratulations! Great job Alyssa – give Sassy a huge hug from me. The paranoia will never leave & I think it’s a good thing to be over-cautious as you pick up any potential problems in the early stages – I will be like that forever – worry is my middle name where Worzel is concerned!

Hi Alyssa and Sassy,
what a milestone! No, after going through this, the worrying will never leave. Sheena is pretty acurate about this. My AIHA dog Kahlu died almost 6 years ago. I can’t worry about him anymore so guess what? Now I just worry about the dogs I have now. We are now in a special club and only people that have gone through this or maybe something similar will understand. I have also noticed that Vet techs and vets treat me with lots of respect when I tell them our story of AIHA.
Best wishes and give that cute Sassy girl a special scratch on the chest from me!

Alyssa,
How wonderful this is! 47% is such a good number and being stable for several months is an excellent predictor for the future. And she looks like she is doing quite well; eyes bright, good coat and clearly interested in the world around her.
You’ve done a wonderful job caring for her. She’s better because of all the work you did! Each extra day is a gift that you have given to her.
I am so pleased to read your report!
