- Sadie /urinary problems
Linda-
Prednisone makes them drink and go a LOT more. Also – you may need to check if she had a urinary infection due to the immune system being compromised. Dunes NEVER urinated in the house. She had one episode of a couple a days where she did urinate on the mat to the garage door. She indeed had a urinary infection which cleared up after antibiotics.
linda ,
I am sorry Sadie is having this issue.. our poor IMHA babies go through so much. one vet at U.T. asked if I gave spring water the bottled… I said yes. so afraid I would get fussed at… but was told that was a good thing. the vet there can’t remember her name not one of my girls vet. said her own girl had crystals and stones. but after using bottled spring water from a health food store her girl is okay. I know this is from the use of med.’s a big difference .Hayley also drank so very much and I had to hold her up with a sling as she couldn’t stand alone or get up. it was mind reading to know when she had to go… I hope she didn’t have to lay too long as she couldn’t get up.but I checked her evry 15-20 minutes as she went so often on predisone. wishing Sadie the best of luck on her weaning from predisone if any know about spring water as I do use it for all my gang and cook with it for the girls and us.i hope I am not causing any problems that I do not know of.way to go on number’s Sadie little one… I know your mom is proud of you .much luck to Sadie and pray it isn’t stones or infection.my best lynn & hayley
Just to update – Sadie’s doing MUCH better. We are keeping a close eye on her, but so far, better. She actually is going longer at home alone. Still weaning the Atopica – she’s doing well with that too, so far.
Hiwever – she is STILL ravenous and I convinced she’d eat until she popped. ;)
Love, Linda
Well done Sadie girl.
Yes Bingo despite being on only a little bit of prednisone INSISTS he’s not being fed enough.
Good news Linda.
