- Sadie snoozing in her favorite bed
Oh Rosemary. Did Tempe go back to her bed when the drugs were lowered before? Bingo always wanted the cold floors when on higher doses of pred and it seemed so horrible, he was so sick and he had always slept cuddled up on the bed. He’s now back to sleeping on the bed, although he’ll toss and turn if it’s a warm night – don’t’ worry about keeping me awake Bingo.
Hi Vally, Tempe also did sleep on the bed with me before she got sick. Then after she started on the drugs she couldn’t jump onto the bed anymore, so I got her a bed that she used a few times but eventually she just preferred the tile floor. Now that I’m lowering her doses again (and it’s getting cooler in California), she kinda goes between the carpet next to my bed and the cold, hard tile in the hall. But I do usually find her curled up next to my bed in the morning. It’s sad, sometimes she’ll signal me that she wants to get up on the bed so I lift her up (no small feat these days since she went from 20 lbs to 37 lbs!), and she’ll lay there for about 5 seconds than jump off. Kinda like she remembers what she likes, but can’t stand it.
Actually Bingo can’t jump up on the bed any more. That’s okay though, he’s got a slave to do the lifting.
