- Routine parasite treatment?
Oh gosh Linda. I looked up Bully Sticks. I can understand the “psychological barriers” mentioned on the link you posted! Haha! Still…they are natural at least! If Sadie enjoys them, that’s the main thing. I don’t think Sadie needs to worry about you stealing it for a chomp ;)

Ha! No – it’s ALL hers. To dog owners our there (not a kitty treat, sorry Mable) , if you buy one, be sure it’s not from China (sorry China). Local, USA and Oder free. You’ll thank me. ;) and monitor while eating (in Sadie’s case -inhaling!).
Love to you and Mable,
Linda and Sadie
Linda, Bingo has his legs crossed as I read this.
Hey, as Mary said natural is good. I’m the same Mary, sorry China, but nothing that comes from there. I’ve written to several of the people where I buy Bingo’s natural treats and ask where they source their stuff. I’ll only use Australian or New Zealand sourced meats and fish.
Love Vally & sitting funny.
Vally – you are funny. No fear Bingo boy and no offense, but they won’t be after you. They only go after the BIG male moo moo’s. You’re good Bingo. Don’t let your mommy use that to intimidate you okay?! ;)
The Australian and New Zealand meats are wonderful. They go for a huge premium over here, meat treats from the down-under. :)
Love and hugs,
Linda and sleeping, belly up, sprawled out, no shame, Sadie
Haha poor Bingo!
What’s the reason for not buying from China? The strangest meaty treat I remember in Oz was chicken salt. Never come across it before or after. And I never did quite get my head around it! And now I have to come to terms with Bully Sticks. In all honesty, it’s probably far better for them than processed treats. But I have the psychological barriers!
Give Sadie and Bingo belly rubs from me :)
Mary & Mable (who wants a Bully Stick) x
Mary, there were some issues with treats that came from China not long ago where a few dogs died. Most of the supermarket pet treats here come from China, so I buy Bingo’s on line at a premium price, of course. I’m fussy as fussy can be. Bingo gets, as treats, dried chicken tender fillets and chicken necks, dried kangaroo fillets, dried shark cartilage. Nothing with preservatives or any extras. Not much each day either as we like the lean mean machine. Bingo says he needs more.
Chicken salt, I haven’t heard of it as a treat but it is a favourite on chips instead of regular salt – not my favourite. I think it’s made using chicken fat, sugar, herbs and salt – certainly not good for you. Kids love it of course.
Vally & Bingo.
hello Ladies,
I am too the paranoid doggie mom and nothing from China goes over my dogs lips:) I bought a dehydrator and love making treats from beef liver, heart and all kinds of meats. My dogs also get meaty bones, chicken & turkey necks raw. They really keep their teeth clean:) Haven’t tried the bully sticks but they sound interesting:)

That’s interesting (and sad) to read about the treats from China. I will definitely be checking Mable’s treats now. She loves “dreamies”, some sort of gooey biscuit. She also likes the sound of all these dried meaty treats. I might have to look for some cat versions.
Vally – I never saw the chicken salt as a treat either, only as a human treat ;) I don’t think I ever tried it. It just baffled me! Cherry Ripe, on the other hand, did not baffle me whatsoever and I have been known to venture to the Australia Shop in London specifically for them!
