Hi Lynn
Hoping Madison will be able to have the surgery – you certainly have all been through the medical “mill” lately! It would be lovely to see a photo of you, Hayley & the gang. Some of Worzel’s calcium deposits ate still hard & nobbly, but some have softened up – I think these are the least of our worries, unless they get infected of course. One did come out of the skin on his head, but it was tiny.
Everyone – it’s great to be in contact on here – thanks Patrice
Oh look at Worzel’s gorgeous big brwn eyes. Probably saying why do I have to wear this thing mum?
got back it is 6:16 here and boy am i tired we left for the vet at 8 something this moring. we are going to get madison checked out for the new surgery she is close to 9 years old and might not get approved for the new surgery for her treacha. but shelly is doing well they said they feel sure she will have remisson for a while w/ the cancer.hayley was so glad i came home she wiggled into and bently and sophie well they danced we were gone way too long. SHEENA WORZEL IS DARLING… CUTE AND THOSE EYES. such a dear gentle breed perfect deer antler’s.can i talk about the medication madison is on? i want advice as one ios predisone mix… not sure how safe but realize she really need it.so good to have a post thank you !!!! patrice!!!! patrice has been hayleys angel from get go answered so many other just starting as hayley was with this disease in the first few weeks and as we all know how those day’s were as time has gone by i have met you all and we are bonded together as we have gone through all this together giving such love with the advice to each other … so glad to have the honor to be on this wonderful new forum. lynn & the gang of 5
Hi all. Great to see (well….) some familiar folks here.
Claire – Ruby was absolutely beautiful. I know it continues to be difficult. You are so gracious to stay with us here and especially, helping.
Lynn – I am so dog gone proud that you are navigating this website SO well. You just continue to amaze me. How is your precious Madison doing?
Sheena – Well – now that is THE cutest reindeer dog I have EVER seen. Worzel is such a good looking fellow. Sadie sends kisses and hugs.
Vally – How is your darling gassy Bingo. I understand the dilemma – it’s common with Sadie too, although, since the slippery elm cocktail, it’s been much better. Thank goodness. We go for a PCV Monday. It’s been two weeks on the lowered Atopica (from 50mg per day, to 35mg per day). I really think she’s okay, but she is starting to shead again, though not as badly as the prior (disastrous) weaning in May. She also holding on the 15mg per day (from 40mg) – so, here’s hoping.
I am supposed to go back to the holistic vet next Wednesday, but may have to cancel. Although I THINK it’s been good for Sadie, most of the “supplements” have only complicated her diarrhea problem AND it is extraordinarily expensive. I have spent over $1K on two visits. Hmmm…..
Matoca, how is your pup today. I am so sorry you are going through this. I did not have to give Sadie a transfusion, thank goodness, but can associate (as we all can) about figuring out what to do. Have you been on the Meisha’s Hope website? It was the beginning of me trying to put all the pieces together, and then of course, our wonderful forum that recently closed. But we are here now and there will be help for you and your fur child. Please don’t feel alone.
Love to all, Linda and Sadie
