What about the slippery elm cocktail from Dr. Dodds? It has aloe vera in it…

If it is an ulcer, I read that Maalox or Mylanta are safe for them…until I can get her to the vet I wonder if this is a good idea along with the pepcid? If so how much should I give her and when?

Stick to sucralfate – it’s safe & it works.  1g at night (bedtime) is best.  Mycophenolate is notorious for upsetting the digestive system, unfortunately.

Megan I’m worried about the amount of atopics she is on. Can you check that too. I had to do a blood test a while ago to check the levels in Bingi’s blood as too much can be toxic.

If you feel uncomfortable with your vet, is there somewhere else you could take Sophie?

My vet won’t give her sucralfate…she said it stops absorption of the meds…but if she won’t eat then the meds aren’t doing her any good…very frustrated with the vet who is supposed to be a specialist in this area.
