It’s been a long time since my last post, and I wanted to give an update. Lola was doing great, and we were slowly tapering down her Prednisone doses. On July 12th, I noticed a small bruise on her tummy. We had a check up scheduled for that day already, and the check up revealed that her numbers had crashed again. We resumed the hire doses of Prednisone, and her numbers are now outstanding. She takes 1 Prednisone every morning, and she is still on the Azathioprine and Melatonin at night. Her last visit (where we got good news) was July 18. She has had a very upset tummy since last night, and I have her on two temporary tummy medications to get the upset under control. We also have a daily protectoranr now to help with the Prednisone effects. She goes back to the vet on the 30th. Ryan and I are leaving the country for vacation for a week shortly thereafter. My parents will keep Lola and are familiar with the disease, Lola’s case, and our vet. Please send Lola your thoughts as it makes me sick to be away in light if this disease. Just praying for another good check up next week.
Hi Ashley
Lovely to hear from you & glad Lola has recovered from the hiccup of low tests results. Thank goodness the higher pred dose put her back on track. Sorry her tummy has been so bad – there’s always something to worry about – I hope she’s soon better. Wishing you the very best for the tests on the 30th. You really need a holiday after all this & Lola will be pampered by your folks, without a doubt. Keep in touch & take care

Hi Ashley
I’m really sorry to hear that Lola decided to give you all a scare, but so pleased that she responded well to the increase in medication. I do hope you get good results today.
I hope you have a fantastic holiday and a much needed rest. I am sure Lola will be in wonderful hands.

Hello everyone.
Lola had a good check up before our vacation, and we have decided to continue with once daily Prednisone, Azathioprine, and Melatonin. She has another check up this Friday, but she seems to be doing well. My main concern at the moment is her tummy. Even with the tummy protector, she has upset tummy more often than not. Any suggestions?
