We had Jackie’s PCV checked today and she is at 33!! Her energy is getting better and better so the DR wants to reduce prednisone again so she will be taking 10 mg in the morning and 5 at night. Her stool is totally solid with just a tiny bit of blood, I bet in a couple of days it will be totally gone! She still has a sore on her leg that is trying to heal, I have to keep a sock on her leg or else she will eat the bandage and rip her fur out trying to get it off. For some reason she keeps the sock on. Other side effects now are that she is losing a bit of fur and her eyes are not producing enough tears so we have to put artificial tear ointment in her eyes. Hopefully the reduction in pred will start helping these side effects. She also lost a pound since last week but still eating well so hopefully she will start gaining weight. We are happy with the improvement in her blood though!
