- Heart murmur
I have to laugh – auto correct – get’s me in SO much trouble. I type fast, but not correct and then the darn auto correct. ;)
Awe Jen. Always something with this darn disease, right?! I agree with everyone – don’t worry too much about the heart murmur. I was married to a cardiologist and he said that half the population of the world has them and most don’t even know. He found one on me years ago (while going through cardiology rotation) and I did have it for years. But then, it just went away. It never really bothered me, but glad it’s gone! :)
Also, Sadie’s vet heard one on her while on the high doses of prednisone and cyclosporine (Atopica). She said it has gone though and also said it was the meds. But, through all the high does (she was 35lbs, and on 50mg cyclosporine and 40mg prednisone, daily) Sadie used to breath so loud and labored that I just knew she was not going to make it through the night. Of course, she did. And as I lowered the meds, her breathing would get back to normal. Even on her low dose of prednisone now though (7.5mg daily), she still breaths fast.
As Sheena and all have said, try not to worry too much. But then, that’s what we all do, isn’t it – because we love our pups/kitties. ;)
Much love, Linda and Sadie
Yay !!! Maggie’s HCT is 40! That’s the highest it’s been since Sept. We are reducing pred by 25%.
Now just waiting for biopsy results. Everything crossed.
We’re thrilled! Strange how when we just start reducing the dosage her counts start to rise. Her HCT hadn ‘t gone above 36 so I am so pleased with the latest news. I will update next week on the biopsy results… Thanks for the support :)
