Oh Lynn, I am so glad to read this! Hayley is a little superstar for sure. I am so sorry you have to deal with these ignorant young vets, but knowing you, you will not let them run over you and treat you badly. I know you will stand up for Hayley and for yourself!
Best wishes,
Brigitte & the poodle boys
I’m so glad to hear Hayley is feeling better now! They really do take their toys seriously don’t they? I think it’s adorable that she lines them all up and counts them.
I can totally relate to your frustration with vets. It’s so very difficult to find one you can trust with your babies lives. We’ve been through half a dozen already and one after another I find them completely negligent. When a new office opened 5 minutes from my house, I decided it was worth a shot. Initially the doctor was wonderful. She’d take extra time to discuss any concerns you might have. Their prices were also very reasonable. Lately though, as business increases there, she has been forgetting to email medical notes, making us wait 45 minutes in the waiting room (and, yes, I hear them gossiping in the back hallways, too!), raising up all prices, and rushing us out of appointments. I understand they need the volume to stay in business, but we pay a lot of money and these are like our children. They deserve the best care possible.
To up date everyone on Hayley ( to those who did not know Hayley she was hit with IMHA when she was 7 years old now Hayley is 11 years old) Hayley has a heart disease called DVD … I found out this jan. when her vet said we need to do a heart ultra sound. she was placed on Benaepril once a day… I also give her cardo-strength by vetri-science with her heart specialist advice. Hayley had a vet appointment to check her heart yesterday 7-6-15 @ 1:00a.m.
I was so very pleased that they could not hear a defect in the heart… how ever we will not know until august when we have another ultra sound… Hayley’s vet said do not stop the cardio- strength along with heart medication… I was told along with the use of the heart med’s along using cardio- strength they are seeing wonderful results. I wish I had known about cardio strength with my dear golden who was born with a heart defect but that was so many years ago I do not think it was around then. Macy was another dear fur child that we were blessed to have for 22 years .
P.S. One of my sister’s fur children is 22 1/2 years old … learned she has cancer… I would like to aske you all to remember meling in prayers…. this is just about to kill her and I love that baby too so much… meling loves her aunt lynn so very much… thank you so. lynn & hayley
Hayley had her heart recheck yesterday 7-6-15 @11:00 a.m. we got a very good report. the vet said keep doing what ever we were doing as they didn’t even hear a murmur… Hayley has what is called DVD … she takes Benazepril along with cardio- strength by vetri science. Hayley’s heart echo is in august so we will know more… but her regular vet is very pleased with her check up. her PCV was @ 50%.In all we had a very good report… I am very happy just hope the echo will be the same good report. p.s. remember my sister as her fur baby who is yes>>> 22& 1/2 years old<<< … she just got the info has cancer. This was very sad indeed… I just lost a dear fur child to cancer and … it is so hard losing a fur baby. As I am not over my loss I am very close to my sisters fur baby as I am to all her fur children. please remember her in prayer’s thank you lynn& hayley
Hiya Lynn
Don’t worry about the 2 posts – no problem – easy to do!
All is sounding wonderful with little Hayley – yippee – I am really happy she got such a great report – a weight off your mind, I bet. A PCV of 50 is excellent – give her a BIG hug from me. She is amazing – you must be so happy, Lynn.
But I’m sad to read about your sister’s fur baby – even when they get to an old age, it is still just as hard to get bad news. My goodness, that is some age indeed – incredible. I will be thinking of her & please could you send her all my love & support. None of us ever want to hear that our dear loves have cancer – it’s always heartbreaking & devastating – they are truly irreplaceable.
Much love from us all

sheena, thank you… yes, I will tell my sister . it is never the right time to lose a dear fur child. that wee one has been a wonderful fur child and she has had a long live for a fur child just as my macy did who lived past 20 years.
oh I was so happy to get the new’s for Hayley… she did loose .3 oz’s. but that is not to worry about all is just so wonderful. I took her to pet smart to pick out a toy she picked three and was ready to go home. I buy the wee ones for her little mouth . she did get a lamb chop the small is as big as she is.. but so cute just like the puppet lamb chop.everyone made over her said how old is your puppy.. were they all shocked to learn she is 11 years old. she is white so if she has gray fur it doesn’t show.i haven’t seen too many white chi’s like Hayley. she looks like a white rat bless her heart. her heart sound great I won’t know until the echo… I pray it to will be a good report.i am going out to lunch with my sister tommorw will tell her what you said… my b/p is up tonite so I will say good nite. love lynn and hayley
