Well we are celebrating Good News today !
Flossie had her blood test on Friday and she came back at 46.7 Hematacrete and everything else looked great on the test the Dr. Said. In fact she said Flossie is doing really really well. I’m so happy about that. She told us to wait 6 weeks for our next test … we’ll see if I can get that far … LOL !
I just checked my calendar to see how long it’s been since she was off last med and it was Dec. 13th ..
The only things I have her on now are Bovine Colostrum twice a day, D’mannose twice a day, Milk Thistle once a day, ACV in water, Goats Milk Kefir 3 times a day, Coconut Oil 2 to 3 time a week, Fish Oil 3 times a day. And I have her on a single protein dog food Acana Duck and Pear.
So happy she’s doing so well … Now here’s to the coming weeks as Spring approaches and the 1 yr Mark April 21st of her going to ER. Not knowing what caused it, Spring scares me with all the pollens. On the other hand we were dealing with an unsurmountable amount of stress in our family when she became ill so was that it .. or was it that Bortadella shot when she was a pup that sent her in to anaphalaxis ? My brain goes round wondering what “thing” caused it and if it’s going to come back … For now I’m counting my blessings and loving her every day and will just keep my eagle eye on her at all times.
Thanks to everyone for helping us through this and being their to comfort, guide and cheer .. you all are amazing !
Hugs Flossie and Sara
Congratulations Sara & Flossie
I am so happy to read things are going well. The worry of why this happened will never stop. Remember Vally’s wise words – this is the “crazy paranoid world of AIHA”. It’s hard to wait between blood tests too. Well done, Flossie – you are a clever girl & your Mum is pretty clever too!

Hey all .. well it’s been a while since I was in .. And I just wanted to share that Flossie had her last blood test on April 18th and Results on 20th were hematocrete 42.3 .. so she’s holding with no meds still. And Friday the 21st was her 1 yr anniversary . Last Year on the 21st at 10:00 at night I was rushing her to the ER because she had quit eating and was jaundice. When we arrived at ER the blood test was 26 and by the next morning she was at 11 .. Anyhow you all know the story … and we have a lot to celebrate 1 yr later she’s alive off all meds except her natural supplements and she’s doing well. It feels good to break the 1 yr mark .. I wish I could say we had some big celebration but I haven’t been feeling well lately (going through the change of life) .. so the last 3 months have been tough and now I am experiencing anemia as Flossie did so I’m getting just a smidgen of what she was feeling this last year. Anyhow thanks again for all the help and support everyone has been.
Sara and Flossie…
Congrats Sara and Flossie! Thanks for the update. We are so happy for you, and it’s encouraging to hear about another successful remission.
