Hi Marla

That is a great improvement on the PCV – well done Dewey!!!!!

BUT this reduction is way too risky & not what Dr Dodds recommended. We are all begging you not to do this so quickly. Please stick to Dr Dodd’s advice. When Dewey gets down to the correct cyclosporine dose for his weight – in a few weeks, please, not a few days (!) – and his PCV is in normal range, you can reduce the prednisone SLOWLY.

You know we all love you & Dewey to bits & we are trying to help get him better.

That is so wonderful the 30 mark…. these ladies know…as they sure helped me… when I brought to Hayley’s vet attention… he would say that’s right… Hayley’s vet gave me these ladies email and said they are the best.. if fact… I took Hayley to the vet this Monday. He asked now that I am feeling better.. if I keep in touch with the forum. Hayley’s vet thinks Dr.Dodds is the very best of best… I am so very glad,Marla…. you found this forum for Dewey.And , I can not tell you just how happy my heart feels that you were the very best mom Dewey is lucky to have a mom who has taken such care and love…. little Dewey fought for your love… thank to another wonderful mom… another fur baby is beating this awful disease.my best to Dewey and his sweet mom Marla. I just feel a bit like an idiot…. thinking this reduction was ok. Thank goodness there are some people here that know more about cyclosporin and caught the mistake. We certainly don’t want little Dewey to relapse!

Brigitte – you are certainly no idiot – you didn’t know what was happening on the dosing front. You are a very wise lady – I’ll NEVER forget how much you helped me with your fantastic advice. It’s hard to keep up with everyone & to know what drugs & dosage we are all using – impossible!

Hi everybody!
Just wanted to drop a quick little note to let you know that Dewey and I are doing good! Had an appointment yesterday and Dewey is now at 35!!! Still reducing cyclosporine, one more week of 25mg and if he climbs again, we will be finished for that drug and on to the imuran. Dewey Also celebrated his 5th bday ( a day I thought he wouldn’t be around for!) so he had his own little ice cream cone!!
Hope everyone is doing ok! Linda, Dewey is waiting for Sadie at 35! So tell her to get going!!! Just joking!!
