Sorry forgot this! In going to get my hands on Dewey blood work from today. The vet said all of his other numbers are great. Could someone look them over for me and see if anything stands out???
Hello Marla!
It’s so LOVELY to hear from you – don’t you worry about that drop – I couldn’t agree with Vally & Brigitte more. You have done a great job & it’s probably because he’s such a tiny boy that the reduction has affected him. Just think of it as a minor glitch & get another test as soon as possible. Take the reduction much more slowly next time & an every other day approach when you get to low levels seems to work better for most of our dogs, rather than just stopping it. 31 is not dangerous at all & it’s not that much below normal really. Hope you get a nice surprise & it’s gone up again on the next test!
What is his haemoglobin figure Marla? Are you still giving the denamarin? If not, I would start it again. What dose of Atopica is he on now by the way?
Keep us posted & try not to worry too much – you have been awesome & I know you’ll get Dewey through this.
Loads of Love

Hi Sheena
He’s still in his liver function pills. Sameq was no longer available so we switched to zentonil. He’s also still in thyroid and melatonin. I hope and pray he doesn’t go any lower! I now see why you guys say this disease is like a roller coaster. Just when you’re up for a bit then you’re going down! Thanks for your advice again! It feels good to know that people care!
