- Camilla, AIHA-dog from Italy
sheena this would be a good idea! Tell the owner of this site to create a section with a small online shop where we can buy a tag or something that alerts people of the pathology. The profits could go in favor of this site or in favor of the research on IMHA. I thought about the importance of something that alerts that the dog may feel ill following the facebook page of Ray Charles The Golden Retriever. He has been blind since birth and he has a dog-harness that says “blind dog”.so if he gets lost and someone, who doesn’t know him, find him, he/she can act adequately to the situation.
ahahah! it’s so funny when people who don’t speak the same language meet toghter…often new words are born :D
HI girls! Today we went to the swimming pool for dogs! Unfortunatly the nearest swimming pool was full (we called for a reservation but it was too late…too much dogs today because it was a beautiful sunny day!), so we went to the other one, in Livorno, about 40 km far away from our home. There wasn’t anyone! So camilla had an hour of fun swimming to take her ball….i’ ll upload some photos ;) and what about your dogs? Are they well?
Hi Eleonora
Camilla is having a GREAT time! She looks really good too – I’m so happy to hear she’s doing fine. Swimming is ideal to build up their strength again, especially if they love it as much as she obviously does. You would not get my two near water – they HATE it! Worzel even walks around puddles to avoid getting wet feet. What a pair of wimps I have!
Worzel is on Tylan again for a slight tummy upset, but is fine – a couple of days on that “wonder drug” & he is back to normal, thank goodness. Apart from that, they are both fine.
Lovely to hear that Camilla is feeling good – keep in touch when you get a second – I know you are a very busy lady.
Love & big hugs

hello sheena !!!! I’m happy that Worzel is ok! also my parent’s beagle, Mya, hates water as your Worzel! when it rains my dad has to bring her to walk where on Saturday there is the fruit and vegetable market, in a semi-covered place, because she absolutely doesn’t want to get wet. Camilla this morning has made a control blood count by our vet, I will have the results tomorrow. Yesterday we brought camilla in the countryside, in a place where we can free her….and, obviously, she dived into the creek. we call that creek “her personal SPA” because she always stays in the water like a human at the spa. i’ll post some pictures :)
hi girls! i have the result of the last Camilla’s CBC: she still has 6.0 RBC! She’s without meds since 26 feb. The vet said her CBC is ok. i wish i can relax a little bit! on april we’ll go to the hematologist for a control and to do the tests on her thyroid. i’ll let you know! Now we are in the middle of moving house and camilla is happy because in the new house she will have a garden just for her :)
Hi Eleonora
I know you are a busy lady, but I was thinking about you today when I got my Galgos news update & wanted to say a quick hello. How is Camilla doing? Hope everything if fine over there in Italy!
Much love, Sheena & the hounds
