Greetings! I’ve not posted out of fear of jinxing the process but Bristol is doing wonderfully. Not that she’s perfect, but she has steadily inclined to a level of 32 on Saturday. We are thrilled. Through out the process Bristol has been determined to live. She was weak but eating, weak but drinking, weak but moving her bowels. And now she is pink and perky and today barked ferociously at the UPS man. She despises the Brown Uniform I guess. We’ve had a few shake ups…bouts of vomiting, lethargy and shaky legs, but through it all this website has been my rock. I’ve shared the information with our Vet who is incredibly openminded on the subject. And after each test, she enthusiastically said “I’m encouraged, her demeanor is good! See you in a few days.”
We have had to give nausea meds, have shots and have been living on rice and chicken and this weekend, her apetitite already hearty and buoyed by red, made Bristol break through a baby gate and raid my daughter’s candy bag. 24 hours of vomiting and off to the emergency Vet.
They were astounded, and delighted, to see Bristol much peppier than the last time. All the techs came in to see her and fawn over her. The vet, who hadn’t seen her, told my husband, he had heard all about her. Thank you thank thank you for your support and help. And I wanted to give testimony that these dogs can have a 2nd Chance.
