- Blue American Staffy just diagnosed with AIHA
The beach might be different if you are talking ocean. The tides come in and wash the beach clean. At a dog park the ground is stagnant.
To be ultra cautious, has he been tested for heartworm? You did mention a poo sample. No intestinal worms? Patrice has checked the blood test and said it reveals a relatively healthy puppy, with moderate anaemia. The basophils are high, which could be an indication of allergies or parasites. Does Storm have any symptoms of allergies, skin issues – does he do a lot of licking or biting of his feet or anywhere? Did the vet say anything about the basophils. You mentioned he didn’t really say anything about them.
Have there been any more seizure like episodes?
Another CBC would be good to see. Do your best to make sure Storm doesn’t eat for at least 8 hours before a blood test. The results will always be more accurate.
When are you next going to the vets.

Hi valley yer they did a poo sample cause he suspected maybe hook worm. But didn’t check for heart worm. I worm him every month with a wormer that covers heart worm too. So he shouldn’t have it. He doesn’t have any skin issues or allergies either he’s quite a healthy dog otherwise. I go back to vets in the morning at 9:30 and they are going to do another CBC but I will be seeing a different vet as the one I saw was just a fill in and won’t be there tomorrow. But yer about the baso he didn’t know what it was he said that and it just must be some sort of other protein in the blood and wasn’t concerned about it. Hopefully tomorrows vet has abit more of an idea of what could be going on. Storm is doing a lot better with in himself though which is good.
