- Bingo's latest bout of arthritis
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0uBteC0d20
I don’t know if the link works, but this was Bingo on Wednesday night, all good again. Me? Just a bit poorer. As you can see, he displays no difficulty with his front left leg, or anything else!!! Yesterday, I worried about giving him the smaller dose of 1/8th tablet, but he was fine last night and fine again this morning. I’m now wondering whether he may have hurt himself the other day (although what he would have done to hurt himself I don’t know, he’s such a lazy thing) rather than it being the arthritis. That would be great really. I suppose the next few weeks will tell.
Love Vally & George Clooney.
With all the sleep phobias around here, this morning at about 4am I hear Bingo, well sort of moaning. I lay there listening and thought is he moaning or snoring? Anyway, of course I poke him and he doesn’t respond. He’s breathing okay and not making any noise any more, but he won’t wake up when I call him. I’m thinking, he’s breathing, just leave him alone. Oh sure! I get up and turn on the lights. He’s got his eyes open now just watching me. I’m patting him and calling him and he’s just lying there. I try scratching him and he just lies there, shutting his eyes.
So of course I pick him up and put him down on the floor where he just sits with his head almost on the floor half asleep. I want to make sure he’s not in pain and try and tempt him to move with the promise of food but he just sits there. I stand him up again and he just sits again. I keep promising chicken and biscuits and he starts to slowly wag his tail. He then takes a few steps to follow me and there’s no sign of limping or anything.
Okay, I take a breath again, pick him up and put him back to bed, covered him up because it’s cold at night. He’s asleep. I go back to bed and lay there for a while, waiting for my heart to stop racing and fall asleep again.
This morning I wake him with the promise of food and he rolls over and stretches and all is good in his world.
Good morning all!!!
Love sleep deprived and Bingo.
Hi Vally
Oh, that boy of yours! Why do they do this to us? He looks really GREAT in the video Vally. Worzel is a big snorer / makes weird noises as he likes to snuggle up close – I sometimes think I’ve suffocated him as he manages to sneak his head under my pillow or underneath me. He sleeps very deeply, respirations very slow, & you can slide him around without him waking up – weird! He’s always been like that, but was muchworse & worrying on the high pred dose. I hope that will stop you worrying – I think he’s a heavy sleeper like Worzel!
