- Bingo's blood test
Poor Bingo suffering things stuffed in his orifices – how degrading! I’m glad to hear he’s happy with his liver cleansing diet & is the same hungry boy. No more “episodes” please Bingo – Mum needs a few stress free weeks now. Fingers crossed, he will have lower enzymes next time.
Love as always, Sheena, Worzel & Ollie
PS I was looking at co-enzyme Q10 – really good for gum disease (and heart disease), but have read it could raise liver enzymes – what a shame.
And yesterday he got into an argument with a 7 foot giant black hairy labradoodle. Bingo took himself over to say g’day and this dog was a real snob. It snapped at Bingo. Well Bingo ain’t intimidated by size (he think’s he’s much taller than he is). Bingo barked right back and the monster went for him. Bingo still not giving up falls over and the dog closed in on him. The other owner is calling the dog back – gee that’s helping lady – and I get in there and grab Bingo – he’s still barking at the monster the whole time.
Few extra grey hairs for me.
Bingo sounds like a great dog! How is he getting on with the pred reduction? And is he managing ok with the teeth? I’m sorry to hear that he met a snob, but indignant and gluttonous sounds excellent! I think I’d be equally indignant if I was put through such a cotton bud invasion, poor boy.
Sending best wishes from us,
Mary and Mable x
Mary, Bingo has been on the lesser dose now for a whole week with no issues. Good colour and no evidence of any arthritic pain, so, so far so good.
I’ve also decided no more liverwurst for him. I was giving him about half a teaspoon each morning with his prednisone tablet and another tiny bit at night, because ever since he started on the pred, I’d wrap it in a bit of liverwurst and yell “Here’s your tablet” and he’d come running for it. Now I’m using a tiny bit of low fat dog food instead. He hasn’t noticed the difference though. Again, hoping cutting out a bit more fat from his diet will help the next test results.
Love Vally & BIngo
Hi Vally, just want to say I’m still following Bingo from the other side of the world – you two should really have your own blog! He’s such a character. Thinking of you both – and make sure you look after you too!
Lots of love

Oh Vally and Napoleon (yep – small man’s syndrome – but tough – warrior!!) – just reading all this.
So glad to read he’s doing better. Just hang in there you two. I agree with Claire – you two should have your own blog – but then, I always need your ha-ha when on here – just stay here and blog!!
We love you Bingo (aka Napoleon) and Vally,
Linda & Sadie
Mary & Mable,
Bingo wears many mantles, Napoleon was Linda’s name (small man’s syndrome) for not being wise enough to shut up when a much bigger dog is going for you and thinking you’ll come out on top.
This morning, we went for our usual 2 minute walk (only 2 minutes in the mornings now as he won’t go through the park in the mornings as he doesn’t like to get his little feet wet from the dew). It’s only really a pretend walk to see if there are any cat poo offerings because I don’t feed him enough (or maybe he has noticed the low fat food). On the mornings (like this morning) when the garbage bins are out, he always confronts a little white labrador across the road. The labrador does absolutely nothing to Bingo – in fact, it doesn’t move – that’s because it’s only a picture of a labrador which someone has stuck on their bin. But Bingo struts off after showing it who’s boss.
