Hi Vally and Bingo
Great news that Bingo is still doing so well. I can imagine it must be very anxiety provoking reducing his dose, and as you so rightly say, the disease leaves a scar on us all and makes us hypervigilant, which I think it totally understandable (and probably very useful in some cases).
I think your idea about a herbal supplement warning is excellent, and I completely agree that they are drugs, particularly when given with “real” drugs. There are many examples of natural products e.g. St John’s Wort, even grapefruit juice, interacting with certain medications in humans. I have just chucked out some zinc-based cat treats. The trouble is that until you’ve faced these horrible rare diseases, you’d just have no reason to question these things.
I’m so pleased that you all enjoyed your nephew’s wedding, and that he had such a lovely day. Will keep everything crossed that tomorrow goes well and Bingo has no further falling off the bed incidents. I hope he got that 6th treat :)
Mary and Mable x
Hey Aunties Mary and Sheena and all
Bingo has survived another no-dose day (yippeeeee). Didn’t get his 1/8th yesterday and he was great last night. Running around like a lunatic, humping (trying to anyway) his blanket, grabbing and dropping his ball so he can chase it.
I was very nervous and woke several times during the night to poke him to see if he was okay, but he’s great. My day off and he was happy to sleep in and laze around in bed being scratched. I’d say come on, we have to get up, and he’d just wave his arm (which is dog’s language for scratch some more). It’s a gorgeous day here too and because we got up later, and the Council has mowed the grass in the park, meaning he doesn’t get his little feet too wet, he was happy to do an inspection of the park today. Walked all over. He says he’d be happy to do that every morning if he only had his special french blue shoes Auntie Sheena (but to be honest I don’t mind as if we did that every morning, I’d be late for work EVERY morning).
I can postpone some worrying now for a few more days. I won’t be convinced we’re good until at least a month has passed. Been there done that. Got to 3 weeks once before and trouble hit.
Lots of love to all
Vally & Inspector Bingo
Hi Vally. Just wanted to quickly say how happy I am for you and Bingo on the great reduction. It’s down to the wire and I totally understand your worry.
Love that he romped in the park, little twinkle toes. And LOVE the pic!!! Vally, you are good.
Will be back on circuit Friday. Until then, reading posts with little responding. Miss you all.
XOXO Linda and Sadie (whom LOVES having baby Elise here!!)
Vally – that is a brilliant photo! Phil & I laughed our socks off. Glad to hear Inspector Clouseau (or should I say Clueless?) is doing well so far. Is he looking for his blue boots? We are crossing everything for him to get through this reduction without any mishaps.
Love Sheena, Hopalong Cassidy, Fatty & Phil (a MASSIVE Inspector Clouseau fan) xxxx
I didnt do the photo. Bingo inspecting all the evidence, points the paw at Patrice!!!
