- Bingo – likes to make me worry
Hi Vally. It’s only three weeks – I like the first option too. You know – my weaning philosophy stays, slow, slow, slow. Bingo, you are doing great!!! I know you’re afraid to be really happy, Vally, bad omen and all, but I think it’s safe to get in that mode!
Yes, indeed – blue swede shoes Bingo! Too cute Sheena – can’t believe you actually made them and sent them. You’re an awesome Auntie!!!
Love and huge hugs, Linda and shoeless Sadie (yes, sunglassless too)
Hi Vally
How’s the man doing? No, you’re not totally insane. I like your first option too, as Bingo doesn’t seem to be suffering too much with the side effects, it allows you to keep the reductions very slow.
I’m glad you both survived the initial every two day reduction! Give him a belly rub from us (I’m not sure how he’d feel about Mable giving him a belly rub, but it’s the thought that counts, right?)
Mary and Mable x
The man is doing great. Yes I’ll stick with the chicken version of the reduction schedule to get me used to doing a few skip ever second days for another couple of weeks.
He loves belly rubs and I’m sure he’d behave with a rub from Mable. He’s all bark and no bite anyway Mable.
Love Vally & Bingo.
I’ve seen Bingo have a few more stumbling episodes.
It happened yesterday and today, both times, he was barking while he was waiting for food and he suddenly becomes uncoordinated. It’s over in a second and he’s fine afterwards.
Was going to take him to the local vets but they’re closed now and I won’t be able to get to his specialist until at least Thursday, as there’s no-one else at work this week. Perhaps I should take him to local vets tomorrow and see what they say.
Vally & the pest
Hi Vally
Yes – take him to the local vet to put your mind at rest. From reading up on PetMD etc, maybe the barking is a warning of a seizure & the excitement of food (I know he loves his grub!) is causing this. Even a slight electrolyte imbalance can trigger a seizure apparently. My other theory – is the continuous barking causing a temporary lack of oxygen? Just an idea. If they don’t last more than a few seconds, I don’t think it’s anything too serious, but I would want him checked out too. Oh, he does love to get you stressed out, Vally. I’m sorry this has happened again, my dear friend. There’s always something to give us grief.
Loads of love, Sheena, Worzel & Ollie who love their kangaroo shaped biccies – thank you Aunty Vally xxx
Iv thought I can ring the specialist on Monday. Could it be the adrenal glands are not happy?
