- Ashki – new thread
Hi Tamara. Somehow my post is below yours. Hmmmm. Anyway, great news!! Here’s hoping this trend continues!!!
We all worry so much all the time. Don’t ever think you’re alone. I seem to keep writing this to everyone – too bad I don’t take my own advice! Worry, worry, worry. Yep. And yes, what we do for our fur children!!
Keep the numbers going up Ashki!! Way to go too Tamara. Great teamwork!
Love and hugs, Linda & Sadie
Thank you all so much. Ashki would like to tell you that he is bored bored bored and wants to break out of this jail. Poor boo is feeling a little better and is ready to go. I think I’m going to take him for a little drive.
I got his food sensitivity tests back from Dr. Dodds lab. His only sensitivity is to white fish and is a borderline reaction. All others are negative or weak and are okay to feed per Dr. Dodds. This is going to sound weird but I almost wish he was sensitive to SOMEthing else that I’ve been feeding him as it would explain his gurgly tummy and possible SIBO. On the other hand, very good to know that I don’t need to worry about what to feed him! I think white fish will be easy to avoid.
He had eggs and potatoes for dinner, he really seems to like that. :)
hugs and love to you all —

You are all welcome for dinner any time!! Ashki really enjoyed his drive, and continues to feel very well. It was really cute, he would go from one side of the car to the other to stick his nose out the window and smell all the good smells.
He can’t get enough food, I’m now feeding him 2 cups of food 4 times daily, it’s like feeding a puppy! I am so happy he’s eating so well but it’s a bit of a struggle keeping up with the cooking but I’m managing :) .
I took him to the hospital to say goodbye to the intern who is leaving; she was part of his core team for the first 3 or 4 weeks of his care there, until she went to nights and weekends. We have seen her on weekends when I’ve been taking him to have a PCV check since then, she is just wonderful. Anyway, he had a wonderful time visiting with her.
I am keeping all my limbs and digits crossed that we will continue on this upward trend.
sending you all love and hugs —

Ashki is doing well, at a very good breakfast this morning. He had a very small amount of yellowish mucousy discharge out of one nostril and some dried around it. No sneezing or coughing. I’ve sent a message to the internist to see if we should go in or if it can wait until our appointment tomorrow, along with a rather blurry picture of Ashki’s nose. Working at remaining calm — my new goal — don’t worry until you have something you know you need to worry about! Easier said than done.

Sounds like it could be an infection and I think you’d probably need to get some antibiotics as the prednisone will affect the body being able to deal with it by itself.
I’ll buy a copy of your CD “don’t worry until you have something you know you need to worry about!” – can I have a discount though, I look after a very expensive dog :)
