- Ashki – new thread
Hi Tamara
I am sure Dr Dodds method is better than any pill – far more natural & better absorbed most probably.
I don’t give Worzel carrots any more either – the same as you, bits in his poo, and with added very stinky wind! Oh, the smells with our dogs – good job our close friends don’t mind.
A few more points & Ashki will be in the normal range on the PCV front – the two of you are amazing – keep that PCV going up!
Love & cuddles,
Sheena & the boys xxxxx
Hi everyone, I’m sorry I’ve been away, I started a new job and it has been a challenge but is going well. Ashki is also doing well, very good energy and color, although he did have a small dip last time we checked, 1.8 points. I’m a little anxious about it of course. We go this week for another check and I’m hoping for stability or an increase. But, as I said, his energy and color are very good, and we did do a chemistry and it was beautiful.
Hoping you all are well, sending you much much love and big hugs and scritchies to all the four-leggeds.

Hi Tamara
Great to hear from you – congratulations on your new job. They are lucky to have you. I hope you are really enjoying the work now you have settled in a bit. It’s always a bit traumatic changing jobs until you get your feet under the table!
That’s only a little blip – I agree with Vally about the way they are acting, so it’s good news all round – I bet you were pleased about the chemistry results which mean he is improving. No-one could have done more to help their baby get better than you have – sweet Ashki is doing well.
Love & hugs from us all

Hi Tamara and Mr Ashki
Congratulations on your new job! I am sure it is quite challenging starting a new job and caring for Ashki, but I hope you are managing to settle in a bit now. I know you must be feeling anxious about the dip in PCV, but as Sheena and Vally said, if he is well in himself that is a good sign, and hopefully it is nothing more than a little blip which will have gone up again by next week.
Give that gorgeous boy a cuddle from us

Hi Tamara and Mr. Ashki. I too, hope your new job is going well. Great to hear from you!
Yeah, the PCV going down a bit always gets me too. Each time Sadie’s goes down, as she has relapsed twice, I panic. But it does seem, that with each weaning (reduction), in the beginning anyway, she would go down. And then she will stable. But I know what you mean – we do watch them ever so closely, don’t we?! That will be a given for her entire life I’m afraid, sorry Sadie girl. ;)
Please give Mr. Askki a huge hug and smooch from us,
Linda and Sadie
Ashki says thank you for the hugs, smoochies, and cuddles! He’s doing great, filthy from rolling in the yard in the dirt and with a HCT of 36.9!!!!!!
The job is going well, but challenging. We’re writing an assessment and the development phase is all constantly shifting goals. I am working out of my home, thank goodness, so can continue to take care of Ashki. I’m a little worried because next week I have jury duty, but it’s possible I won’t even be called or will only have to serve one day. I’ve arranged his schedule and have friends coming in to take care of him while I’m gone.
We’re reducing the mycophenolate to every other day, everything else is remaining the same. We go back in two weeks unless I think we need to go sooner. Right now he’s on 30mg pred daily, 100mg cyclo twice daily, and then the usual prophy meds plus his enalapril for his kidneys.
Sending you all big hugs and lots of love, please give those four-leggeds some scritchies from Auntie Tamara.
