- Ashki – new thread
Hi Tamara
Goodness, that boy does like to keep you on your toes, doesn’t he? I am really sorry that you had this scare but thank heavens he pulled up again, and lovely to hear that he is playful and happy. That is worth its weight in gold.
Keep up the PCV please Ashki. Your Mum could do with some rest!

Hi Tamara. Bless your pea pickin little heart (that’s from me being in GA way too long!). Now Ashki, you go play with your new toy and let mommy rest, okay sweet boy. But Ashki – way to go buddy – awesome news.
Oh Tamara – isn’t it amazing how a little good news raises our spirits?! This is wonderful to read. And Maura – with you all the way – one day at a time – so glad too, to read that Sunny is hanging in. :)
Much love, Linda and Sadie
Thank you Lynda, Mary, Linda, and all! Linda, you made me laugh. I grew up in the south and still will say, “bless her/his heart” at times lol.
Ashki is 32 today! Thank goodness. We sent out for CBC, urinalysis, UPC, and thyroid panel. I kind of wished we’d gotten a retic count from the last PCV but going from 25 to 30 in a few days he must have been strongly regenerative I would think. I am hoping that we are in recovery, and his body is working to normalize, so we will see dips. Because we all think he slid into severe anemia very slowly, I’m sure his recovery will be slow as well (as it has been).
Ashki made out big time at the vets’ today, several biscuits from different nurses, then his nurse gave him a bowl of chicken, then the oncologist saw him and came out to say hi and heard he was hungry and got him another bowl of chicken! He was showing off that he is learning to shake and everyone thought that was very cute :) .
sending love to you all, and scritchies and pets to our furry ones.

Hi Tamara
Sounds like Ashki has a wonderful time at the vets! So nice to hear he’s won their hearts. I am thrilled to hear about the improvement – I bet you are too. You’ve made my day actually – please give that clever boy the biggest hug from Auntie Sheena. You are getting there now Tamara – all your hard work & research is paying off – Ashki has one amazing Mum.
Love & cuddles, Sheena, Worzel & Ollie xxx
Oh Ashki – not only did you let your mom sleep but you gave her big, huge smiles with your numbers!!!! That is wonderful news and I too, am grinning ear to ear!!!
Tamara, you have worked so hard for your precious Ashki and been so great about helping others here too. A huge congratulations to you both, for your hard, diligent and consistent work!
Sending huge congratulations hugs and much love, Linda and Sadie
Thank you all! I think I have finally recovered from the fright last week. I actually feel rested today.
More good news though! For the first time since Ashki’s diagnosis his HCT is in the 30s! 30.4 to be exact, I am so thrilled. Also, his urinary protein continues to come down, last time we checked it was 4.5, yesterday it was 3.2. I’m so relieved.
We’ll get his thyroid panel in a few days and I’ll let you know. Took him to acupuncture today where he was a wild man and managed to get more treats for showing off how he’s learning to shake and just for being cute :) .
much love and many hugs —
