Thrombintime (KOA) 10.1 sec. 10-18.3
Greetings and thanks,
Katharina
Hello!
Good news, we have got reticulocytes.
1,5%, 59K/myL. That is the highest value since – in fact – ever in a blood draw from her. :)
So corrected with “ideal” HCT of 50%:
1,5% * 24,9% / 50% ~ 0,747%
Also good news to me: RETIC-HGB is in mid range now. It got very close to lowest level the last weeks/month.
Also MCV hasn’t fallen, instead 0.1 ;) higher.
And MCH as well as MCHC normalizing.
Platelets a lower then last time, but still in mid range. Quite relieved by that. I started worring allready, because of the big drop last time from too high to mid range. Plateletvolume very little over top level.
WBC right at top level, but lymphocyte nicely low. It’s the neutros, that are elevated.
Many greetings,
Katharina
Thank you, dear Vally! My best wished to you, too!
Today CBC again. She’s holding the HCT. And more reticulocytes!
RBC 3,85 M/myL(5,65 – 8.87)
HCT 25,3% (37,2 – 61,7)
HB 9,2 g/dL 13,1 – 20,5)
RETIC 2,1%
RETIC 82,4 K/myL (10 – 110)
Which is corrected with formula above: 1.06%. :)
Platelets mid range and only slightly too big.
PLT 281 K/myL (148-484)
MPV 13,7 (8,7 – 13,2)
Hello all!
A really good , red start into 2021: HCT 30,1% (hematology automat, PCV 34% from microcapillars in cetrifuge).
Jippi!
Reticulocytes back to 51 from 82 6 days ago.
WBC are now very low. Maybe a bit too much immunosuppression? They fell really fast, NEU were at 14.32 6 days ago (23.12.2020).
Platelets are really nice in number and size now. :)
RBC 4.50 (5.65 – 8.87)
HCT 30.1 (37.2 – 61.7)
HGB 10,8 (13.1 – 20.5)

PLT 283 (148 – 484)
MPV 12.4 (8.7 – 13.2)

Other blood values all in range except ALT, wchi went from 65 at 2020/12/17 to 398 today (range 10 – 125). I have to look it up again, but I think I switched from drugstore syllimarin to denamarin between those dates.
GGT from 1 at 2020/12/17 to 11 today (range 0-11).
Plan with my vet is to reduce Prednisolon now. He would have gone from 40mg to 30 mg. I am anxious and rather go from 40 to 35 and have control at Friday (which probably is to close to see any change – but, well, might be better for my mind ;) ).
We worry about the low WBC, so for these also control on Friday.
Milk does some “air puffing” since about 4 days. It’s not a sneeze, just a bit puff. After sleep and when going outside for pee. There is no exudate from it. And her nose is very dry at the moment. When she sleeps, there is really not liquid on the nose. So maybe it’s also related to that?
It got a very hard pimple at her chin yesterday, which shrinked allready a lot – I put PVP creme on it. And today she developed a simlilar pimple right at the top at her nose, where the black of the nose starts.
Not sure, what to think about those. They don’t look inflammated. And there is no puss in them, just a hard pump.
I’ve seen similar bumps, that develope from hard to softer and wet in allergic dogs. Milki get’s similar pimples from tripe – but I did not feed tribe. Hm…
I changed from codfish to pollack in her diet. (It’s said to have less quicksilver.) So I go back to codfish again and see.
If the “air puff” is still present at Friday we might do a swab of the nose for the lab.
Any thoughts on the tapering?
Any thoughts about the low neutrophils?
Many greetings,
Katharina
Hi!
First: Dr. Dodd is pleased with the CBCs and would not changed anything yet. So we do.
Patrice also told me to not go down with the Prednisolon, yet.
New CBC today.

Pimples are gone. Don’t know if it was because my application of iodine unguent or just by themselves or by her making them go away. But: None left, jippi.
“Air puff” still here, but as it was. With inhalation of NaCl it’s less.
Overall she is doing fine and has quite some fun mainly in the evening (gets out her tug toys etc).
Many greetings!
