- AIHA vs. Molly
We’re just glad you’re here. never will. All we can do is be here for whom ever needs us now.
Although I know I will cry, I look forward to reading about Molly, your little kitty right? It will be a way to keep her with us and get to know her. I do know this about her already – she was a very lucky little girl to have you for her owner/fur mom.
Here’s to you Mary, your Molly AND your Mable. To health – it’s everything.
Love, Linda and Sadie
What I meant was – I don’t understand this horrible, cruel disease – never will (lost that somewhere-somehow).
More love and hugs anyway! Linda and Sadie
Thank you Linda for your lovely words.
I think I’m almost finished with Molly’s story. It’s made me cry no end writing it out but it’s also quite cathartic. She was my little cat. Her sister Mable is fortunately still with me and is doing well, although it took her some time to settle. I’m quite obsessed with checking the colour of her gums! Although I am sure everyone here will understand that. It is a cruel, awful disease but I just hope that by increasing knowledge and raising awareness, more dogs and cats will be able to overcome it.
Thanks again, Mary and Mable x
Hi Mary,
I’d love to see a photo of your Molly IF you feel like posting it. Mable too. You can use the Upload Your Photo on the right if you do want to. No pressure though – I know at Bingo’s worst, I had to take all his photos off my computer screensaver at work – I was a mess and would start crying every time his photos would come up.
Yes and welcome to the Crazy paranoid club (Brigitte, we have to change the name – Crazy paranoid dog women no longer covers it!).
Love Vally & Bingo
Vally – as always – to cute – all of us going through this “crazy, paranoid club” need a smile when ever we can catch one! Thank you.
And Mary, about the gum/mouth checking – I think it was Lynn that said her pup smiles when she approaches her mouth – she knows!!! We’re all there and we all understand. Thank goodness Sadie’s tongue hangs out a bit (when panting, which is getting better, but still often) – makes it easier – or does she do that on purpose (as in – leave me alone – I’m fine – really!).
I know writing Molly’s story was hard. Even though Sadie is now doing pretty darn good, I teared up and teared up while writing her story recently. I can just imagine how difficult it was for you. But I am so proud of you for following through, getting it done and look so forward to reading it. Here’s to you Ms. Molly.
Much love, Linda & Sadie
PS – LOVE the name Mable!! Too cute!
Hi Mary
You must have found it heartbreaking writing about dear Molly – I think you are amazingly brave. Vally is right – welcome to the crazy, paranoid world of IMHA & there is no escape for any of us. If Ollie is a bit off colour, he gets his gums checked too. Completely mad, but that’s just what we do now!
Love Sheena & the boys
PS Has Mable had that prawn I promised her yet?????
Hi all, and thanks for your replies. So what will the name be? Crazy paranoid animal women? I like it! Mable is getting good at having her gums checked. I am learning a lot about her behaviour, and last night was particularly of note. She comes up to bed with me and pounces around attacking my feet, until I switch off the light and she gets off the bed. Last night I was a little upset after writing about Molly. Mable went downstairs, howled a little, and then came right up and sat with me. I’m sure she knew something was up. I have learnt a lot about animal grief since this happened.
Unfortunately, Mable has still not had her prawn! My culinary adventures have been limited recently, but she is very happy with her treats and enjoys the odd dental biscuit!
Here’s Molly looking rather relaxed on my bed one evening. She was the boss!
And here’s one of both the girls:
I hope you and your doggies are all doing well today
Mary and Mable x
