Hi wendy, wanted to mention this:

Sassy has been getting weird pus filled bumps throughout her treatment. She will randomly get red, pus filled bumps on her belly, usually. I bought this and spray is on her every time I notice them, and they usually disappear in a day or two. It’s good stuff, and I don’t have to bath her in medicated shampoo every-time. It might not work on Frank depending on what he has, but it has helped Sassy wonderfully. I just used it on her belly the other day again, and those bumps have disappeared.
Hi, new to site and so thankful I found it ! My little Abby (shih tzu) will be 8 years old on the 20th of this month and was diagnosed with IMHA almost three weeks ago. What a rollercoaster so far. We changed vets a week in a half after being told she had IMHA, didn’t think the vet we were seeing had a lot of experience with this disease. I thank god we found a vet that is not only caring but is extremely educated about this and hopefully has put her on the right track. I am still scared to death that she will not pull through but she is doing better than she was a couple days ago. I am just thankful I found a group that can relate to what we are going through. I will probably have many questions for all of you :-)

Hi Cindy, I’ve moved our post to a new spot especially for Abby. This is the link…

I’ve posted after you so if you can’t find it or have any problems, just post here again and we’ll sort it out.

Hello Ladies,
Sorry we have had a long weekend celebrating Frank’s first birthday!!! Today we had another appointment for my little one. He is still at 34% from last week.
Yesterday (Sunday), while giving him a nice cool bath we found some open sores on him. We clean those up, but they were very concerning to us, since we hadn’t seen those. Today at the appointment, the vet was unsure how he got them, but we are keeping them clean. She is still holding off on getting him on antibiotics, but we will talk about it this Saturday.
Frank is still eating and drinking water. He also weighs in at 68.2 lbs. He has gained some weight. :)
Have you seen open sores in any of your dogs? Is this normal reaction of the medication he is on? And slippery elm (Trish mentioned) how many milligrams should I give him? I have some of that with me already….
Happy to see my boy reach one years old!

Hi Wendy,
Good to hear about 34!
Sores are most likely staph infection. Read this and reply if sounds correct.
