Frank will have a full CBC check up next Tuesday. She wants to see how the Atopica and the Pred are doing. I also requested it to see how everything else is doing. I will ask for the print out and upload it to the “urgent advice” section.
On top of that we have the “Rocky Fire” about 10-15 minutes away. We are getting ready to evacuate if needed. But we may lose everything if this fire comes our way. It is scary.
Please pray for Lake County and that this fire does not get any worse.

Dear Wendy,
the firefighters out there do everything to protect you, your family and your possessions! I will think of you and everybody that is in danger and pray that nobody will come to harm.
Love and best wishes,
Brigitte
The firefighters are amazing!!! We had some rain today in the morning and now we can see further than yesterday.
I just read that the winds are blowing the fire North-east from our home. It has been a hard couple of days, but it is amazing to see how everyone is stepping up to help in all aspects.
Frank, by the way, is doing good. We were outside for a pee break, since we don’t want our babies outside for too long because of the ash and smoke. He actually ran from side to other side to find his pee spot before he got sick (it is located near one of the trees in one of the corners of the property). It was amazing to see, but it made me a little scared, since he working harder to breath and I don’t want him inhaling this bad air. But, I have a HEPA air filter running in our living room, so we are getting a good circulation of air inside.

Hi Wendy. Oh my – crazy!!! You are such a wonderful fur mom to Frank! Please keep us posted as to the fires and Franks coming blood work.
Thinking of you both and sending lots of love,

Hi Wendy
Just read your update on your fundraising site – it sounds like Frank might have a staph infection – that is very common with our pups on these medications. A trip to the vet is needed so they can have a look at it, find out what it is & they can give you antibiotics to treat it if necessary. Here is the link to staph infection with photos & how to treat it:

You can also get some chlorhexadine shampoo from the vets – it’s vital to keep everything really clean & to wash his bedding on a very hot wash to destroy any bacteria that might be hiding in there. Don’t delay getting treatment – it can spread quickly. Lots of folks on here have had to deal with this, so don’t worry – it’s easily treated.
