Hello! Mona had her 30 day check up today and I am delighted to report that her PVC level has increased to 40! She is really doing well and back to her former self activity wise. We go back in 2 weeks, and if all of these numbers stay this good, Doc says he will begin slowly decreasing her medications. We are so grateful. She got sick on July 10, and after 2 transfusions and a week in the hospital, she seems to be making a remarkable recovery. Thank you all for your support and encouragement. This is a terrifying diagnosis, but there is hope.

Hi Vally. Thank you so much. Last Friday she had a recheck and her PVC is up to 51! Doc has decreased cyclosporine from every 12 hours to once a day. We go back next Friday to see if that changes her numbers at all. If not, he will proceed in decreasing the medications. We are so grateful. Doc seemed pretty amazed as just a few weeks before he was telling us that odds were decreasing. Now she is more active and playful than even before she got sick. Doc said can’t take her to groomers until she is off immune depressant medications. He did say I could try mobile groomer if they were meticulous about disinfecting their tools. I will call tomorrow to see what I can find. Thanks for your support. Marian
