Coal update. RCV 46. and we are now steroid free. I won’t lie I am scared to death. Eye and gum checks everyday from now on. She is healthy as a horse. So here we go. We reached the calm lake. We are life jacket free and we are going to enjoy the waters edge and all the swimming and fun we can handle. BYE BYE Raging rapids you can go to hell!!!!
Hey Amy, this is fabulous news. Of course you’re scared and scarred. That’s what this does to you. BUT, I’ll bet if I asked Coal she’d say “I ain’t afraid of no ghosts”. Loved that movie !!!
Check her eyes and gums, but you’ll soon start to relax about it, I’m sure, and that’s a good thing. Poor Bingo gets a thermometer shoved up his nether regions whenever he’s a little quiet. You’d think he’d learn not to worry me as it’s him that pays the consequences.
When does the new girl come home?

I wish we had a thread with just good news…. Tomorrow Miss Coal will turn 10 months old!!! Look how far we have come with this sweet sassy girl! to think she almost died 6 months ago and was given less than 15% chance to live. WOW what a fighter I have.
Also we are 8 days no steroid and holding steady. I won’t lie it has been a pleasure not having the steroid highs this past week. She is a lot less crazy than she was on those damn drugs!
Peace and Love,
Amy and Coal The Fighter
Hi Amey im so pleased to read about Coal, you really do have a little fighter there don’t you? it does amaze me how theses dogs do and can get better with the right treatment, Snoopy is not on any steroids or automune suppressant now either and I am still checking gums ect! Sheena has been my rock, if it wasn’t for her I don’t know if we would have made it , and for the support of everyone on the site , hope you have many more calm waters to enjoy Amey, love Jill and Snoopy xxxxx
