She is done! She is awake and resting and will be home this afternoon. The Vet said she did beautifully and she had her hernia repaired and the hair plucked from her ears (poodles need that). I am still worried that the stress may cause a relapse but at least now I know what to look for. Eye and gum checks anyone??? This weekend is a holiday so it’s a long one. I have the vets cell number so I am
Not afraid to use it if necessary. Thank you for all the support.
Love and wet sloppy Kisses,
Amy and Coal.
Great to hear she’ll be back home safe & sound. Those extra life jackets must have helped!
Gums, eyes, anywhere you can see pink, Amy. Maybe her obedience level will be sky high now her ears are unobstructed – yeah, right!
Seriously, I am thrilled all went well – let us know how she’s doing. They are so cuddly wuddly & needy after an anaesthetic.

Hello all! Took a min. to dock the raft and stop in to say hello! Coal is doing beautifully! She healed perfectly. She is back to her rotten sassy self. I am please with how things are going with her IMHA. I was so worried the stress of surgery would set her off again. That doesn’t seem to be the case. She is still on 10mg every other day and will stay there for a few extra weeks because of the surgery. then we will do another reduction. The life jackets have been removed and I am looking forward to smooth sailing for at least two more weeks :) Thank you all for the love and support!

Stitches out! RCV 46! We are going to switch down to 5mg every other day next week. Aaaaahhhh! Every time I worry!!!
On a different note: Coal was given a beautiful compliment by the dog trainer yesterday. He said she was well behaved and walked beautifully on her lead! Of course that was also a compliment to me as I am doing all of her training. That makes this momma very happy!! Squeeeeeee!
I talked with the vet about the new puppy. She is due the last week of July first week of august. Due to come home in September. I told the vet I was terrified to vaccinate her. She agreed LOL We are looking into a delayed and reduced vax schedule for the new puppy. We are getting very excited here and are hashing out names for this new sweetheart. We can’t wait!
Blessings,
Amy & Coal ( who has no idea whats about to hit her in Sept!!)
Fun fact: Coal’s Grandma is having this litter. This new puppy with be Coal’s Auntie!!!
