no they are not soft they are a hard chew Like a bully stick or pigs ear. They are a great protein source and they have really helped Coals need to chew.

Ok back for a quick update. UGH I am feeling so out of sorts with the hubby being away! So overwhelmed! Anyway… Last reduction was April 7th. I am going away for the weekend so the Dr. suggested I not switch her until Monday 5/9 that way I am home to keep an eye on things. We will be dropping down to 10mg. She has been perfect on her 15mg all month. I am confident in the reduction. She will go in for blood work on Friday 5/13. She is doing beautifully. She has become a rotten teenager and is willfully disobedient to her mommy! :) I hate to say it but I am glad. So very glad she is strong and healthy enough to be rotten and piss me off! :) I miss all of you. I hope all is well. I have not seen too many “new” posters here. That always makes my heart sing. Lets hope it stays that way for awhile. God’s blessing on all of you.

Amy that sounds like a perfect reduction and yes, it’s good that you do it when you’re there.

When does hubby come home?

Yes, who ever thought we’d be happy with our dogs misbehaving. My boy is so rude about food. When guests are around, in particular, he starts barking his head off the minute we’re all sitting down and to keep him quiet, he gets pieces of kibble or treat given to him. So he’s trained me really well now.

As Vally says, this is a great reduction – nice & safe! Coal sounds like she’s enjoying herself to the full being naughty.

Worzel is a greedy pig, cheeky, a nightmare & a thief on pred – I do love it when they are like that after being sickly, even though it drives you crazy.

Hope your hubby returns soon to take the strain?

Reduction started yesterday. So far so good. I am not sure how soon something would show up but I am nervous none the less. She is pink and sassy so we are staying afloat on the steroid river slowly and calmly enjoying the ride.
