Bone Marrow Disorders are diseases of the spongy, soft tissues inside the bones which are responsible for the production of all types of blood cells (red blood cells, white blood cells & platelets). Diseases of the bone marrow can cause abnormalities in any of these blood cells or lines of these cells at any stage of maturation, either preventing them from becoming mature blood cells or resulting in abnormalities in mature blood cells. There are many different types of bone marrow disorders.
