Adrenaline is also known as epinephrine. It is a hormone and neuro-transmitter, mainly produced in the medulla of the adrenal glands. In the body, it has multiple functions, including the fight-or-flight response (sympathetic nervous system), regulation of heart rate, airway & blood vessel diameters.
Adrenaline is an excellent drug for the treatment of anaphalactic shock.
