- Dr. Dodds NEW 2016 Minimal Vaccine Schedule
Dr. Dodds of Hemopet.org, in collaboration with world famous vaccine specialist Dr. Ronald Schultz, has released her latest 2016 Minimal Vaccine Schedule. This includes an important change to the parvo vaccine.
It’s important for all owners with new puppies to go over this information with their vet. The parvo virus can sometimes have negative reactions. Vaccinating later in puppyhood may help reduce and isolate those reactions.

Click on the picture of the black and white dog and the text that says “2016 Dodds Vaccination Protocol for Dogs” to view the protocol.
Please print this (or take a pic with your phone!) and keep it with you every time you enter a veterinary clinic. Discuss this with your vet when they want to re-booster your older dog or if you bring your new puppy in for their first visit.
If you have any questions, please ask. I will contact Dr. Dodds on your behalf and post that answer here.
Please consider donating to the Rabies Challenge Fund, a 7 year research study to determine if the rabies vaccine is effective and valid for a period of 7 years, not the currently recommended 3 years. If this trial is successful (and legislation is passed) future generations of dogs will be protected from excessive rabies booster reactions.
