- Why do dogs throw up on….
Carpets, rugs, blankets, BEDS (anywhere but the floor) !!!
This morning, Saturday, is my sleep-in day. 7.30 the alarm goes off, but I know I can snooze for another 15ish minutes before I really get up. It’s dull outside, it’s cold (just going into Winter here), I think it’s raining……Bingo suddenly sits up and does that heaving thing, you know, when they’re about to throw up. Bingo only very rarely throws up, if he does, it’s on my lazy day, so he hasn’t been fed, and his stomach is obviously doing stuff – he tells me it has absolutely nothing to do with the cat poo I caught him eating last night before bed.
Anyhow, of course, to make things easier for me and so as not to dirty himself, he sits up and gets his paws out of the way so he doesn’t get them dirty, and then proceeds to do the heave thing which means he’s about to throw up. I dive out of bed, scrape my foot against a chest of drawers which (my fault Bingo says), I’ve left slightly ajar and grab him and put him on the floor, and yes, he throws up a bit of liquid. He’s then choking as he’s obviously got some in his nose but I run him outside (into the cold, he says) and put him down. He sneezes a few times and is fine and goes back inside, to leave me looking at my poor bloody foot. Two huge bleeding scrapes on the top of my foot. I’m now starting to feel the pain of my scraped foot.
I hobble inside and Bingo is inside waiting for his breakfast and says I can clean my foot up after :)
I think it was on face book that there was a meme about making an alarm clock to wake you up with the sound of a dog wretching. Nothing will get you out of bed faster than that! Hahahahahaaaaa!! Sorry about your foot:( I hope it heals quickly. Naughty Bingo! You should wait for momma to clean up her foot.
Oh Vally, that boy of yours & his cat poo!!!! I think Amy’s alarm clock idea would make millions. Hope your foot is OK – poor you – he doesn’t look at all guilty in that photo – in fact he looks like he’s laughing like Muttley from Dick Dastardly & Muttley!
We had torrential rain & very close thunder strikes & storms yesterday – I’ve never seen so much rain – gutters spilling over & water coming in through the roof onto one of the settees – never had that problem before, so hoping it just backed up on the roof with overload of water, plus hailstones. Ollie needed to go out, but we wouldn’t let him as it was too dangerous – so he went off into the bedroom & was sick all over his bed – and I mean all over it! Both his duvets plus his blanket covered in it. Why not on the tiled floor? No way!
Look after that poor foot, Vally. I’m sure Bingo will kiss it better.

Wow how scary are those storms? I really think the weather has gone absolutely crazy all over. We’ve had the warmest Autumn ever. A week ago we had high 20s Celsius and then suddenly this morning it was 7 degrees. Had to dig out my coat.
How is Ollie feeling now?
No, no kissing thanks. I know where that mouth has been ;)
